Halo — Google Reviews on Autopilot for Tradies
Halo Google reviews automation

Inside Cortex · All tiers

Every job done. Every review requested. Your Google ranking climbs.

Halo sends a Google review request to every customer after every completed job. You do great work. Halo makes sure Google knows it. More reviews. Higher ranking. More calls.

The problem

You do great work. You just never get around to asking.

The job is done. The customer is happy. They say thanks and you pack up the ute. You mean to send them a review link later. You get to the next job. You forget. Six months go by and you still have nine Google reviews, three of which are from your mate's missus.

Meanwhile the sparky two suburbs over has 54 reviews and a 4.9 star rating. When someone in Townsville searches "electrician near me," Google puts them in the map pack and you nowhere. Not because they do better work. Because they asked every customer and you forgot to ask any of them.

94% of Australian consumers read reviews before hiring a local service. 52% call the first business they find in search results. If you are not in the top three on Google Maps, most of those calls are going somewhere else.

Halo fixes the asking. Every job. Without you having to think about it.

What Halo does

Job done. Review requested. Sequence runs until they respond.

Halo runs in the background on every job. Here is what happens.

1

The job is completed

When the job is marked as done in Cortex, Halo triggers. An SMS goes out to the customer from your business number with a direct link to your Google review page. One tap and they are there.

2

Halo follows up until there is a result

If the customer does not leave a review after the first message, Halo sends follow up reminders on a set schedule. The sequence runs until they leave a review or ask to stop. Every message includes an opt out option. Professional, compliant, and persistent without being pushy.

3

A review comes in. You get notified.

On Starter and Growth, you receive a notification when a review lands. You go in and reply manually. We give you reply templates during onboarding to make it quick. On Elite, an AI writes and posts a personalised reply to every review automatically. Nothing lands on your plate.

4

Your Google ranking climbs

Every new review tells Google your business is active, trusted, and chosen by real customers. More reviews and a higher rating pushes you up in the local map pack. Higher ranking means more calls. The reviews Halo builds today are bringing in work six months from now.

Three things that lift your review rate

1. Foreshadow it at booking. When the customer books, mention that at the end of the job they will receive a quick message asking for a review. By the time Halo sends the request, they are expecting it.

2. Get the invoice out quickly. The sooner that happens after the job, the better your chances of getting a review. Customers are most willing to leave one while the job is still fresh. Same day is ideal.

3. Halo keeps following up. Most reviews come from the second or third nudge, not the first. Halo handles this automatically so you never have to think about it.

Same business. Two very different outcomes after 12 months.

Without Halo. And with it.

Without Halo

  • Doing 15 jobs a month. Good work. Happy customers.
  • Never asks for reviews. Means to. Forgets.
  • After 12 months: 9 reviews. 3.8 stars.
  • Not in the Google Maps top 3 for the area.
  • Competitor with 54 reviews gets the calls you should be getting.

With Halo

  • Doing 15 jobs a month. Halo asks after every one.
  • Roughly 4 to 5 new reviews a month coming in automatically.
  • After 12 months: 54 reviews. 4.8 stars.
  • Appearing in the Google Maps local pack.

Part of the system

Halo closes the loop. Then starts the next one.

Every job that comes through Cortex ends with Halo. A customer enquires through The Door, books through The Diary, the job gets done, and Halo asks for the review. Their details are already in The Pulse so if they call again you know exactly who they are and what work you have done for them.

The reviews Halo generates feed back into local search. More reviews means higher ranking in Google Maps. Higher ranking means more calls coming through to Reflex or Tilly. More calls means more jobs. More jobs means more reviews. That is the flywheel. Halo keeps it spinning.

Common questions

Questions about Halo

When does Halo send the review request?
Halo fires after every completed job. The customer receives a short SMS from your business with a direct link to your Google review page. One tap and they are there. No searching, no navigating, no friction. The sooner after the job the request goes out, the better the chance of getting a review. Customers are most likely to leave one while the job is still fresh in their mind.
What does the review request message say?
We write the message during onboarding in your business name and tone. It is warm, brief, and direct. Something like: Hi [Name], thanks for having us today. If you were happy with the job, a quick Google review helps us heaps. Here is the link: [review link]. If the customer does not leave a review after the first message, Halo follows up by SMS until they do or until they ask to stop. Every message includes an opt out option so the customer can stop the sequence at any time. That keeps the process professional and compliant.
What happens when a customer leaves a Google review?
On Starter and Growth, you receive a notification when a review is left. You or someone from the business then goes in and replies manually. Responding to every review is a signal Google uses for local ranking. We provide reply templates during onboarding to make this quick. On Elite, an AI automatically writes and posts a personalised reply to every incoming review. No manual action required.
Does getting more Google reviews actually help me get more jobs?
Yes, directly and in two ways. First, reviews are one of the primary ranking signals Google uses to decide who appears in the local map pack, the three businesses shown at the top of a Google Maps search. More reviews and a higher rating means Google ranks you higher, which means more people see your listing. Businesses ranked in the top three earn 126% more consumer traffic than those ranked lower. Second, a higher rating converts more of those searchers into callers. A one star improvement in average rating corresponds with a 44% increase in calls, website visits, and direction requests.
Can I use Halo if I am not set up on Google yet?
You need a verified Google Business Profile for Halo to work. On the Elite tier, Google Business Profile setup is included as part of Beacon, so we handle that for you during onboarding. On Starter and Growth, setting up a Google Business Profile is free and Google walks you through the process. We can point you to the right resources to get it done yourself before we go live.
Which Cortex tiers include Halo?
Halo is included in every Cortex tier. On Starter at $125 per month and Growth at $297 per month, Halo sends automatic review requests after every completed job and you reply to reviews manually. On Elite at $697 per month, Halo sends the review requests and an AI automatically writes and posts a personalised reply to every incoming Google review. The Founding Five offer means the first five customers pay just a small setup contribution instead of the standard fee, with their monthly rate locked permanently.

Right, here's the thing.

Every job you complete without asking for a review is a missed chance to rank higher and get called first.
